Cashew Tassies Recipe

Cashew Tassies

1 cup flour
cup margarine, softened
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
cup coarsely chopped cashews
cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg


Heat oven to 350. In small bowl, combine flour, margarine and cream cheese; blend well. Divide dough into 24 pieces. Press dough in bottom and up sides of 24 ungreased miniature muffin cups. Divide cashews evenly into unbaked shells. In small bowl, beat brown sugar, vanilla and egg until well blended. Spoon 1 tsp. filling over cashews.
Bake in a 350 oven for 20 o 25 minutes or until filling is set and crusts are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from pans. 24 cookies.
