Danish Butter Cookies Recipe


Danish Butter Cookies

 
Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 tsp maple syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup softened butter (no substitute)
1 tsp baking soda
Sprinkling of confectioner

 

Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add syrup; mix well Combine flour and baking soda gradually adding these dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Divide dough into eight portions Roll each portion into 9 to 10 inch log. Place each log 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into 1 1/2 inch slices. Remove to wire racks to cool. Dust with confectioner's sugar.
