Drop Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
3 3/4 c. flour
Method:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat Crisco and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and 2
egg yolks and beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. Drop by
teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar before baking. Bake
until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool and store in airtight container.
Makes 6 dozen.
